The Benefits of Outsourcing in Your Online Marketing Business

Benefits of OutsourcingBefore we can begin discussing the benefits of outsourcing we must fully understand what outsourcing is and what outsourcing is not. Many people confuse outsourcing with off-shoring which is similar but a different thing.  So what is outsourcing? Outsourcing is the delegation of certain tasks to others that specialize in these tasks. To put it very simply, outsourcing means giving away certain tasks that can be better managed by someone who is a specialist in that area.

Benefits of Outsourcing – Free Up Your Time

So why should you outsource tasks in your online marketing business? There are plenty of benefits of outsourcing, especially for small businesses. The main reason for outsourcing is to free up your time.  “If you don’t have an assistant then you are the assistant.” There are many tasks especially everyday tasks that can be done by someone other than you. This will free up your time to do the more strategic things in your business such as marketing and product creation.

Benefits of Outsourcing – Get Experts to Perform Tasks

A lot of times especially when you are starting a new online marketing business, you are doing everything.  You have to be a “jack of all trades”. This may be necessary in the beginning, but you should try as soon as possible to move from this business model.  In a lot of cases, you are doing things that you really don’t have the expertise for so it takes you a long time.  For example, when I needed a Twitter background, I hired someone.  Now that I have changed my logo, I need to get my Twitter background redone.  I fiddled around with it for a while, but realized that I need to hire someone again to do this.  I am not a graphic artist.  There are other tasks that you may want to outsource as well such as article writing, blog posting, content creation, keyword research, copywriting, videos, web design and graphics, marketing, customer service, etc. You need to determine which tasks you are comfortable letting someone else do for you.

Benefits of Outsourcing – Help without Hiring Employees

There are a lot of things that you need to be aware of when you hire employees.  Also, if you are just starting out, you may not have the steady cash flow that is necessary for employees.  You can’t tell your employee that you can’t pay them this time because not enough people bought your product.  Outsourcing can be the best of both worlds.  You have someone to assist you in your business but you are not responsible for them.

Benefits of Outsourcing – Influx of New Ideas

If you are doing everything yourself, then the only ideas that are available are yours.  Even though you may think you are a genius, there are always better ways of doing things or thinking about things. The people you outsource to may have some great ideas especially in the areas in which they are an expert.

As you can see, there are many benefits to outsourcing.  You may be thinking by now that this is a great, but how do I get started.  Hands Free Outsourcing – How to Outsource Your Entire Business is a guide that includes everything you need to know about finding, evaluating, hiring and managing talented freelancers who will grow your business. 1. This ia a HUGE issue for me. I’m always afraid that I will outsource to the wrong person and end up screwing myself. Or that I wouldn’t be able to afford the professional. So many fears I’ve stopped myself from doing it despite the great points you’ve brought up. I guess I shall look into it a bit more. Freeing up time is DEFINITELY attractive!

    • Lis, I suggest you ask people you trust for suggestions of people you can use for outsourcing. Start with smaller tasks first.

  2. I learned this lesson early on in my blogging. Code is NOT my friend. Neither are graphics. I could either spend my time trying to figure it out, or spend my time on content, but not do both. Now, I don’t even blink when I need to hire an expert to do it for me. My priority needs to be what I do well.
